2) PRINTER LIMITATIONS AND KNOWN PROBLEMS

   1) On the SuperScript 1400, if paper is present in Tray 1, the
printer will always pull from this tray even when a print job is
specifically sent from Tray 2 or Tray 3. Only feed paper to
Tray 1 when printing from Tray 1 or Tray 1 (Manual).

Do not feed paper to Tray 1 while printing a job from Tray 2 or
   Tray 3.

   2) Do not pull Tray 2 out while printing from Tray 3.

   3) In case you experience problems during the playback of the
Help Videos, please use Microsoft Windows Media Player
(standard on default Windows installations). To play back the
videos, simply navigate to the [CD-ROM Drive]:\Bin\Video
directory and open the videos you would like to see.

   4) If you plan to use the NEC USB Port to print to your printer
from Windows 98, please make sure to go to the Details Tab of
your printer driver properties, and select Add Port.... Then
select Other, select NEC USB Port Monitor, and click OK. Click
OK again to set the USB port as the port that will be used to
   print from your printer driver.

   5) If you print the NEC SuperScript 1400 or 1450 User's Guide,
it is recommended that you should select the "Print as image"
checkbox on the Acrobat Reader 4.0+ printing dialog for best
   results.

   6) The NEC Status Monitor works only over local connections
(parallel and USB) for Windows 95/98, and parallel for
   Windows 2000.

   7) The NEC Remote Control Panel (SuperScript 1450/1450N utility)
works only over the local ports (parallel and USB).

   8) Before reinstalling the Mac SuperScript 1400 Series driver,
please "trash" the old printer driver from your desktop first.

   9) When printing manual duplex, please make sure to reinsert the
sheets onto Tray 1. Follow the instructions of the Instruction
   Sheet.
