KNOWN ISSUES
============

* Commander fails to connect to a Wireless system without using WSMAN
Workaround is to ensure that Commander uses WSMAN when available
(View -> Advanced Properties -> Networking -> "Use WSMAN When Available")
* Enabling/Modifying TLS Settings in Commander not documented
Workaround - first use the Set Time button in Commander (ME tab) to Sync
the time. Then enable/update the TLS settings for the SUT.
* User Access Control Setup does not function correctly for adding or editing
  Kerberos (Windows Authentication) users.
* Many features implemented since the release of AMT 2.5 are not available if the
"Use WSMAN first when available" is not checked under the
"View-Advanced Properties-Networking Tab". This includes the KVM features.
* The demonstration KVM viewer integrated in this kit contains a watermark that
can cover a large portion of lower resolution screens such as boot and BIOS
screens. To view more of such screens, use SOL functions such as the
"Take Control, Boot to BIOS" features of Manageability Commander which are not
affected by the KVM watermark, or purchase a commercial VNC Viewer in order to
use KVM Remote Control without a watermark.
* The Alarm Clock feature may report an incorrect Intel(R) ME time
(approximately an 8 hour skew) on Intel(R) AMT 6.0 systems that have not been
setup and configured via a provisioning server but have the network interface
  activated.
* The Wireless Radio status field in the Networking tab is not updated
automatically. To view updated status after changes have been made, disconnect
  then reconnect to the system.
* Hardware asset inventory is incomplete when using WSMAN interface (viewed under
left-hand tree display "Hardware"). To obtain a complete hardware inventory
ensure the box "Use WSMAN first when available" is not checked under the "View-
  Advanced Properties-Networking Tab" dialog.
* The Intel(R) ME firmware build number is not displayed if the "Use WSMAN first
when available" is not checked under the "View-Advanced Properties-Networking Tab"
  dialog.
* When a system has been provisioned using Kerberos, the login fails sometimes if
the Intel(R) AMT login credentials are left blank. It is recommended to manually
enter the Kerberos user name and password.
* An exception will occur when the target is a wireless capable Intel(R) AMT 6.0
system and the "Advanced Settings" button is pressed on the Network Tab. This
  is under investigation.
* Clicking "Set Time", then "Sync" may result in this error:
"Call SetHighAccuracyTimeSynch returned error: FAILED_WEB_CALL. This is under
  investigation.
* Clicking "Enable" or "Disable" VPN routing may result in this error:
  "NOT_PERMITTED"
* Remote Agent Commands from the drop-down menu in the Manageability Terminal Tool
do not work reliably. As a workaround, type in the commands manually in the
Terminal command line interface screen (Type tilde ~, then HELP for a list of
supported commands) Requires Manageability Outpost Agent running on SUT.
* An exception has occurred when a new version is installed if an older version of
the Manageability DTK exists on the system. If this happens, uninstall the older
version or install the new version to a different directory.
* Network alerts fail on Microsoft* Vista 32 and Windows 7
* Intermittent terminal crashes occur after SUT power control commands are
  issued (Sleep & Power Off)
* Outpost service intermittently fails to autostart if autostart setting is enabled
* When using Kerberos* authentication, it is recommended to use only the
"Default" connection type. If either the "Force IPv4" or "Force IPv6"
connection options are used, the Manageability Commander Tool occasionally fails
to retrieve the Intel(R) ME status / information.
* The Alarm Clock feature may report an incorrect Intel(R) ME time
(approximately an 8 hour skew) on Intel(R) AMT 6.0 systems that have not been
setup and configured via a provisioning server but have the network interface
  activated.
* IDE Redirection of some floppy drives or disk images on Intel(R) AMT 5.x
systems do not always correctly display text in the remote terminal window from
the Manageability Commander Tool or in the Manageability Terminal Tool.
* When using Serial Over LAN (SOL) in the Manageability Terminal Tool (or via
the Manageability Commander Tool), the function keys may not be recognized by
the Intel(R) AMT system. To resolve this issue, change the Special Key
Translation mode from the 'Terminal' menu to another option.
* The Manageability Terminal Tool may display erroneous characters during a
remoted reboot of an Intel(R) AMT system. This should only affect how the
remoted screen is displayed and should not have any effect on the
functionality of the Serial Over LAN (SOL) session.
* The English language is the only supported language for the application
  interfaces and help files.
* Some Networking -> Filter settings cause exceptions. Using the IPv4/UDP or
IPv4/TCP Packets "Type" in the Add filter dialog generate exceptions. This
  issue is under investigation.
* Connecting to a client in sleep state sometimes fails. Workaround for this
issue by connecting then disconnecting to the system first through the WebUI.
* It has been reported that earlier versions of the tool crash on launch when
run in non-English language environments. We are currently investigating this
failure. Workaround is to run on an English-only computer.
* When using SOL/IDER with Intel(R) AMT 6.0 and the Intel(R) Management Engine
(Intel(R) ME) FW version is less than 6.0.30.1197, initiation of a SOL/IDER
session can fail under the following circumstance. With Intel(R) AMT Kerberos*
authentication enabled and Kerberos authentication for the currently logged in
user fails (user doesnt have permissions or user doesnt exist) while trying to
initiate a SOL/IDER session, the Manageability Commander Tool will return an
error (IMR_RES_SESSION_CLOSED or IMR_RES_TIMEOUT). Workarounds include: Upgrade
to the latest Intel AMT FW (FW 6.0.30.1197 or later) or Connect to machine with
  IP Address instead of FQDN.

PREVIOUS RELEASE HISTORY
=========================
    * Modified Network-Scan for new systems, adding support for RMCP discovery
    * Integrated RealVNC* based VNC viewer
    * Fixed Hardware Asset information issue when using WS-Man interface.
    * Updated contents of the Manageability Developer Tool kit to include only
the following tools: Manageability Commander Tool, Manageability Connector
Tool, Manageability Outpost Tool, and Manageability Outpost Service Control
Panel Tool. The remaining tools have not been updated.
    * Updated support for KVM features.
    * Updated the Intel(R) AMT 6.0 SDK PV components
    * Updates the internal operation of the Manageability Outpost Tool by
omitting the registration of invalid watchdogs. This may have prevented
the Manageability Outpost Tool from successfully connecting to a system,
especially with the "heartbeat" option enabled.
    * Adds support for determining if the target Intel(R) AMT system supports
      wireless.
    * The Manageability Commander Tool will now attempt to connect to systems
using the previously connection method (non-TLS, TLS, mutual TLS). If
this fails, it will then attempt the remaining connection methods.
    * Addresses unhandled exception issue when remotely rebooting a system
      using an unsupported method.
    * Recognizes newer Intel(R) AMT return status/error codes.
    * Added support for managing Transport Layer Security (TLS) settings
without the need to re-provision the target Intel(R) AMT system. This is
available from the "Intel(R) Management Engine" tab in the Manageability
      Commander Tool.
         - Managing TLS settings is only supported on systems that are in
advanced provisioning mode (enterprise mode), and systems using
           WSMAN interaction.
    * Updated the Alarm Clock feature to leave the Intel(R) ME time as it is
reported and in accordance with the time calculation as described in the
Intel(R) AMT SDK documentation. Therefore, when setting
a date and time for the next alarm, it will need to be set in relation to
the reported Intel(R) ME time of the target system.
         - If the system has been provisioned in Enterprise mode (with a
provisioning server), then the Intel(R) ME time will be reported as
           UTC.
         - Otherwise, the Intel(R) ME time is assumed to be the local time of
           the Intel(R) AMT system's BIOS.
    * Provides support for certificates using SHA-2 signature algorithms (as
supported by the Intel(R) AMT version 6.0 and later platforms).
    * Addresses issues with creating Fast Call for Help (CIRA) MPS server
      profiles that use certificate-based authentication.
    * The power policy management feature within the Intel(R) Management
Engine tab in Commander is verified to be working.
    * Using the WS-MAN communication protocol is now the default method. To
revert to using EOI/SOAP, change the setting from the View menu ->
Advanced Properties -> Networking options tab.
    * Added support for viewing and configuring the Shared FQDN and Dynamic DNS
settings to the Intel(R) ME name configuration dialog.
*Added additional debug log messages (accessible from the Help menu -> Show
Debug Information). Many WS-MAN errors will provide enhanced debugging
information including the internal code stack trace to assist in root
causing issues related to the new WS-MAN client.
    * Added a feature to allow a partial or full Unprovision to be initiated
from within Commander's tree context menu or the ME tab of the computer
details. This option is available only after you connect to the
      Intel(R) AMT system.
    * Added a feature to perform a flush of the DNS local cache. This option
is available from both the File menu and the Add System dialog.
    * Manageability Commander Tool
          - Added support for AMT 5.1 features: Alarm Clock and Audit Log
            storage policies.
          - Addresses issues when connecting to Intel(R) AMT systems using
            WS-MAN over TLS connections.
          - Addresses issues with CIRA connections using TLS.
    * Added support for Microsoft Windows Vista* User Account Control (UAC).

    ** Updates to support IPv6 **
    -----------------------------
    * Updates support for wireless interfaces that lack support for static IPv6
      addresses.
    * Added support for specifying IPv6 prefix addresses for the Intel(R) AMT
      Environment Detection feature.
    * Addresses IPv6 address management on Intel(R) AMT systems 6.0 systems with
      wireless support.
    * Events and Alerts have been fixed to work with both SOAP and WS-MAN
interfaces. In addition, subscriptions to alerts now support IPv6
      IP addresses.
         - Receiving network alerts via an IPv6 address is not functional for
           this release.
    * Added support for viewing and configuring IPv6 settings. These are
available from the Networking tab in the main window for a selected
      Intel(R) AMT client system.
NOTE: Editing some IPv6 settings may force a disconnect from the system.
    * The Audit Log feature has been updated to include events for AMT 6
      features and supports IPv6 addressing.
    * Added support for through a Management Presence Server (MPS) via IPv6
addressing to the MPS. This includes EOI (SOAP) and WS-MAN connections.
    * Support of IPv6 and AMT 6.0 relates to the following tools only:
Manageability Commander Tool, Manageability Connector Tool, and
Manageability Outpost Tool and its related support tools.
    * Adding a new client system can be configured
to use IPv4 or IPv6 addressing via the "Add Intel(R) AMT Computer" dialog.
The tree view which lists the Intel(R) AMT systems you have added now
contains another icon for each system indicating the IPv4/v6 option you
      chose to use.
