5. Previous Version Release     : 5.24

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reason for Release (including Bug Fixes and Enhancements and Feature added)

Version#:5.25
=============
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) System hangs during the driver initialization phase if the Firmware hangs.
   The Device Manager used to show the yellow bang on the Raid Controller.
   Now a check has been made to detect the Firmware hang state.

2) PC+ hangs when heavy Ios are running on the logical drive and it is deleted.
   Now all the pending Ios of the deleted logical drives are purged to the Firmware.

Enhancements:
-------------
1) Driver reports the SystemID, SubsystemID, RevisionId, DeviceId, and PciSlot Number

Version#:5.24
=============
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) Implemented time out during the driver initialization phase to detect the firmware hang.

2) While read and write commands are merging, sometime this merged command was exceeding
   Number of Physical PAGE that is supported by firmware. In this situation driver splits
   these commands to fit the number of pages.

Enhancements:
-------------
1) Merging of Sequential Read and Write commands enabled. Number of concurrent
   commands are increased to achive Higher performance. Now number of conncurrent
   commands supported are 189 (increased 61 commands).

Version#:5.24 MultiLun
======================
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) Power console cannot be loaded if no logical drives have been configured.
   Now driver exposes a dummy device to load the power console.

Version#:5.23 MultiLun
======================
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) Driver checks whether the Fw supports MultiLun and accordingly sends the
   Multilun requests to the F/W.

Version#:5.22
=============
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) Driver was not handling the Drive Cache flush command properly. This has been fixed.

2) If we already have driver 5.21 installed for taos on w2k.
   Now we install driver 2.68 for vail. This all goes ok except the driver
   for the dummy (virtual) device for vail attaches to version 5.21.
   You then have to manually go to the update driver and point it at 2.68.
   We have change the ProductRevision for DummyDevice to handle this problem.

3) Changes in the INF file:Add new DeviceId for the new controller.

Version#:5.21
=============
Bugs Fixed:
-----------
1) The mapping of physical drive to the logical drive was incorrect when seen
   from the power console utility. There was some problem in the initialization
   of the AdapterCount value. This has been taken care in this version.

2) Gave workaround for the dirty cache problem after the shutdown of the OS.
   OS was issuing Write commnads after it issues shutdown Command and special
   processing was required to handle this.

Version#:5.20
==============
BugFix:
--------
1) Bug Fixed for the standby problem in multiple controller configuration.

Version#:5.19
==============
Enhancements:
-------------
1) Updated to work with new vendor id and device id of Bridge chip.

Version#:5.18
=============
BugFix:
-------
1) Shutdown problems fixed when system under heavy i/o.
2) Fixed the BaseAddress of the Controller's MemoryMapped Region as returned for
   SNMP agent.
3) Fixed some problems with supporting non-disk devices.

Version#: 5.17
==============
BugFix:
-------
1) There was some issue in the driver where ASPI utility was not reporting the backplane
   for some SAF-TE box.
2) Bug Fixed for the "Unsafe Removal of the Device" Message occuring due to the
   migration of Logical Drive from one RAID level to another RAID level. Driver
   used to give the Inquiry String for the Logical Drive based on the RAID level.
   Now we are giving the Inquiry String based on the Vendor Name.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Restrictions/Bugs:
========================

1) Hot Plugging of 471 and 493 controllers are not supported.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features not supported:
