- Place a 1.44MB DOS or Windows formatted diskette in drive A:
- Double-Click on the file "mdacnw.exe"
- Follow the instructions on the screen

NetWare 4.2 & 5.x

Following files will be extracted to the Netware directory on the
floppy disk. DOS and NT drivers will also be extracted to separate
directories.

05/09/00 10:07a 5,252 MDAC.DDI
06/14/01 12:08p 200,204 MDAC.HAM

- When installing the AcceleRAID 160/170/352 or eXtremeRAID
2000/3000, use the drivers located on this Software Kit CD-ROM.
The Mylex drivers included on the Operating System CDs
currently do not have support for these newer controllers.

- When using NetWare 4.2 with the DOS ASPIDAC.SYS driver, you
must shut down the system before exchanging the CD media. If
this is not done the media will not be recognized.

- NetWare 4.2 will fail to install if the CD-ROM is attached to
an AcceleRAID 352, eXtremeRAID 2000, or eXtremeRAID 3000
controller. To install NetWare 4.2, attach the CD-ROM to an
  HBA, IDE or other controller.

- Due to an issue with the NetWare GAM Server/Driver we were
required to create separate releases of the GAM Server SW
for the NetWare environment. Please be sure to load the correct
NetWare files for your environment. Use the NetWare/InPro
directory for the AcceleRAID 150, AcceleRAID 160, AcceleRAID 170,
  AcceleRAID 250, AcceleRAID 352, eXtremeRAID 1100, eXtremeRAID 2000,
eXtremeRAID 3000 and DAC960PG. Use the NetWare/ExPro directory
for the SANArray FFx and SANArray Pro FL/FF.

- When using NetWare with Mylex external products the GAM Server
may fail to find any controllers if the configuration has been
cleared off the controller. This problem can only be resolved
by using type 7 firmware instead of the default type 5 firmware.

- When using Global Array Manager Server on NetWare 5.1 we have
intermittently seen "Error connecting to server" message when
trying to connect from the SAN Array Manager located on another
machine in the network. When this occurs simply retry the
  command until the login succeeds.

- When using NetWare with Mylex External products we has seen an
issue in which the QLogic Fibre HBA will only recognize a single
controller in a dual-active pair. This problem has only been
seen when utilizing a Fibre channel enclosure the assigns a single
world wide name to both controllers.

- If you are currently using an existing version of GAM Server,
Mylex recommends that you do not uninstall this version prior to
upgrading to the version included on this SWKIT CD. With the old
version still installed and running, just insert the SWKIT CD and
run the new setup.exe application by choosing the 'Install Global
Array Manager' option from the Main Menu of the Autorun
application. Follow the procedures documented in the SWKIT
Installation Guide and User Manual to install the GAM Server
  software.

The reason for this is as follows:
If an old GAM Server (2.21-xx) is uninstalled and no reboot
is performed, installing GAM server from the CD-ROM will
result in the GAM Driver not loading on the next reboot.
This will not occur if the user installs the new server over
the top of the old one while it is still running.

If the existing GAM Server has been uninstalled, be sure to
reboot the system before installing the new version from this
SWKIT CD-ROM or the files which has been down loaded from the
  Mylex web site.

- If the GAM Server & Workstation Array Manager are installed on
the same system and one of them is uninstalled, the other will
no longer work because the GAM Driver will get uninstalled.

- The Global Array Manager Server is not supported on Windows 9x.

- PCI Hot Plug of any Mylex controller cannot be performed if the
GAM Server/Driver is loaded for a supported Operating System.
